Once you connect to the site, click on the side bar label “Databases & Research” then “Databases A-Z”. The following databases will be useful to student research: Ask Colorado, Colorado Government Publications, Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection, EbscoHost, Grolier Online, Science Reference Center, and Student Resource Center.
To access:
1. On the left side of the screen under “Data Bases and Research”, click on “Data Bases A-Z.”
2. Scroll down until you find “EbscoHost” and click on it.
3. Click on “Middle Search Plus.”
4. In the top middle of the screen, you will see a box that you can type in; type in the topic you are searching for and click on “search.”
5. Click on the article title that you are interested in looking at.

How to access:
1. Either google “National Archives” and click the first result OR type in the web address: http://www.archives.gov/
2. Towards the top of the website there is a tab that says “Research our Records”
3. Find the box “Search Online” and click “Archival Research Catalog” ARC
4. Under the search box click “Search Options” – You are NOW in the Archival Research Catalog!! Wahoo!
5. Click on the “Digital Copies” tab because those are the records we need…. If you don’t search digital copies then anything you find will actually BE in Washington DC and unfortunately we cannot go on a field trip there today J
6. Use the attached sheet to help narrow your search in the “Digital Copies”.
7. Make sure you do the proper citation – refer to your MLA citation page.
