Sample Process Papers

Process papers are a requirement for all project categories except for those who write papers.  A process paper has a formal title page, answers the four questions below in 500 words or less, and includes an annotated bibliography:
1.  How did you chose your topic?
2.  How did you conduct your research?
3.  How did you select your presentation category and create your project?
4.  How does your topic/project relate to the National History Day theme?

The examples below have all three parts of the process paper.  I have also included a PowerPoint to help with the bibliography and in-text citations.
  1. The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire - Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Process Paper.pdf
  2. Harlan County: Coalminers Have Hearts Too! - Coalminers Have Hearts Too! Process Paper.pdf
  3. MLA Citations PowerPoint:  mla_citations.ppt

You can schedule to stay after school Tuesday through Thursday until 4:30pm for extra help with your NHD project!

Exemplar of Annotated Bibliography

This exemplar shows you exactly what you need to include, and how to format it.  All annotated bibliographies AND process papers (with title pages) are DUE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th.
